MaryAnne Meyer, M.A., LPC

Licensed Professional Counselor

MaryAnne is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Colorado, specializing in work with children ages 4+, teens, and adults. She holds the strong belief that meaningful connection is at the heart of effective therapeutic work. As a clinician she brings her genuine, authentic self to the therapy room with the hope you will feel empowered to do the same. MaryAnne provides empathy, safe accountability, and a little humor in her therapy sessions. Together you will consider how inconsistencies in your beliefs and behaviors impact your functioning, and work to discover the root causes of those things. You may also explore how the use of language influences our mind, body, and spirit. MaryAnne’s approach to therapy integrates trauma-informed care, cultural awareness, and client discovery- YOU are the expert in your life and story. She utilizes skills from Interpersonal/ Person-Centered approaches, CBT, and is Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed. 

She earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Human Development and Family Studies in 2013 from Colorado State University. During her undergraduate work, her passion grew through community service, mentoring teens, and working with survivors of intimate partner violence. In 2017, she completed a Master’s degree in Counseling and School Counseling at the University of Colorado, Denver. Her post-grad experience includes work in 6th-12th grade school counseling, K-8th school-based therapy through community mental health, and private practice clinical work with children, adolescents, and adults. In May of 2023 MaryAnne completed Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy Training through the Psychedelic Research and Training Institute (PRATI). PRATI’s mission statement is as follows: Through psychedelic medicine, PRATI nurtures a new approach to mental health, and illuminates a pathway for individual and planetary healing. We do so by expanding professional capacity for transformational care, restoring a relational paradigm of health and healing, and conducting clinically relevant research. 

MaryAnne was born in Colorado but grew up in Western New York. She enjoys finding connection with self, spirit, and others, through time spent camping, hiking, and exploring new places and cultures. In her free time she focuses her energy on quality experiences with her husband, daughter, and fur-children.
