Eric is a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate in Colorado. He completed his Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs, and his Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado. Having been trained as a generalist, Eric is able to address a variety of life challenges. Eric’s primary experience has been working with adolescents who have experienced trauma or have emotional regulation issues. Eric’s background as a retired military officer has also given him insight into the unique experiences and challenges faced by military members, veterans, and their families.
Eric believes in creating a warm and welcoming environment to foster an authentic therapeutic relationship that focuses on human connection. Eric’s approach to therapy allows clients to explore their emotions, thoughts and behaviors in a nonjudgmental space to help them better understand themselves and their relationships; he strives to empower clients to find and create a meaningful and purposeful life. Eric uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, person-centered, and existentialist therapy techniques to move clients, at their pace, towards self-discovery and healing.
In his time off, Eric enjoys baking and decorating elaborate cakes, photographing sporting events, participating in CrossFit, and enduring the chaos of triathlon.
