Angie Dunn, Ph.D.

Director

Dr. Angie Dunn is the Director of Cottonwood Creek Wellness Center. She oversees all aspects of the practice. Dr. Dunn is a Licensed Psychologist in the State of Colorado (license number 3567) who is trained and experienced in individual, couples, and family therapy. She also provides testing, consultation services, and supervision to therapists in training. She enjoys working with adults and adolescents. Dr. Dunn specializes in the treatment of eating issues and body image concerns. While she has chosen to specialize in the above areas, she has been trained as a generalist, which means that she is both interested in and qualified to work with a variety of concerns. The most common concerns her clients want to work on include depression, anxiety, grief and loss, trauma, relationship difficulties, family issues, sexual identity, life transitions, identity development, and stress management.

Dr. Dunn has over 15 years of experience in the mental health field. During this time, she has worked in a variety of settings including eating disorder centers, university counseling centers, elementary and secondary schools, community mental health centers, and a psychiatric hospital. She has been an adjunct faculty member at both the University of Northern Colorado and the University of the Rockies. Dr. Dunn also been the coordinator of an intensive outpatient program for eating disorders. She graduated with her Doctorate degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Northern Colorado, a program accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA). She also has a Master's degree in Community Counseling and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology.
