Devon Whelan, MSW, LCSW

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Devon is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. After completing her undergrad in both English and Psychology, Devon worked with AmeriCorp in a socio-economically depressed area of Mississippi to create an after school center that provided area children with healthy food, tutoring help, and art programs, and knew that she wanted to go into Social Work. She then completed her Master’s Degree in Social Work at Boston University, completed a certificate in Trauma Informed Care at UCCS, and recently obtained her ADHD Certified Clinical Services Provider certification.

Devon enjoys working with all people of all ages and stages, and has a particular passion for working with teenagers and young adults with anxiety and perfectionism, enjoys working with adults around parenting issues, and those newly diagnosed with ADHD. Devon also has experience working with foster care and adoption issues, and extensive experience working with childhood trauma, abuse, and CPTSD. She is also a military spouse, and has a personal understanding of the unique issues that military families, spouses, and children face. She believes that all people have inherent strengths and supports that they can utilize, and enjoys using a strengths based perspective to help people become their best selves. Devon believes that no two people are the same, and enjoys utilizing a combination of different approaches based on client needs.

In her free time, Devon enjoys reading, biking, and hiking with her family.
