Ryan is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Colorado as well as a Certified Life Coach. He received a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Colorado Christian University. Ryan has been working as a clinician since 2014.
Over the course of his career, Ryan has worked with a wide range of people struggling with various mental health issues, including severe and persistent mental illness, co-occurring substance use disorders, anxiety and depression. Along with adults, he has extensive experience working with adolescents, groups, and families. His work history includes substance abuse treatment in adult outpatient settings, adolescent residential, and community-based treatment.
Ryan uses an eclectic model to guide his treatment approach; he works to individualize treatment to best suit each of his clients. An analogy is that Ryan prefers to walk alongside people rather than push from behind or pull from in front. It is his goal to meet you where you are and come alongside you to help make the changes you want to make. Some of the approaches he engages in are person-centered, systems theory, existential therapy, attachment theory, as well as CBT, DBT, EFT, and MI.
Some of his hobbies include camping, snowboarding, playing and watching a myriad of sports, and going on adventures with his family.
